Whoah they sure do have some crazy security up in the tunnels! Who’s behind that door?

Even though I didn’t get to go to the Pride parade this year (we spent this weekend doing a major restructuring of our apartment), I decided to celebrate by offering you guys a 20% discount off EVERYTHING in my store! Just use the code THATSSOGAY at checkout and get 20% off everything! Books, shirts, pins, and more! The code will only be good for the rest of the day today and will be deleted on Tuesday so take advantage of it before it goes away!

My brother’s band is getting a documentary made about them! So cool. I was recently able to sneak a peek at the trailer as the film is being edited by my friend Robin. My brother is the guy who looks just like me but with more facial hair (and if you’ve never met me, well his name is Alec):

Pretty rad! I’ve been a fan of pretty much every band my brother’s been in since he was in high school. Well, except for the really early ones I never got to hear, because I was too young (we have a five year age difference). I still remember when he first learned to play bass and would not stop playing the hook from Walk On the Wild Side!

I am usually pretty cagey about even talking about my brother being in Leftover Crack, because in certain circles they are extremely, INSANELY popular and in the past it’s gotten me into situations I really didn’t want to be in with people treating me differently once they found out I was his sister. Or in at least one case, only became my friend because of that fact, and that sucks. I’ve gotten emails from people who wanted to talk to my brother or Sturgeon and thought I would make a nice messenger, which feels extremely shitty and I never even honor those kinds of emails with a response of any kind.

But it’s hard to not talk about or mention sometimes, because I am really proud of him. So today I’m being a little less cagey, because I wanted to show you the trailer, because I’m really stoked about this movie and can’t wait to see the finished product.

Here’s another YouTube video of Leftover Crack performing probably my favorite song of theirs, and you can even see me standing behind the monitor rocking out with my friend MK (I’m the one with the really short hair). I love this song:
