Today we finally meet the Tony’s Twins! They are among some of my favorite characters to draw, because they are so silly and prance around so much doing ridiculous things. This page is no exception.
This weekend is the MoCCA Art Fest in NYC and I’ll be there at table E19 hawking my wares with my tablemate, Mike Dawson, who I believe will have some minicomics of his new webcomic, Troop 142, which I’ve been reading online and enjoying very much! I will be selling copies of the new Freewheel: Volume One book, along with some of my more dated fare such as My Brain Hurts volumes one and two, and My Brain Hurts t-shirts. I may be offering some kind of package deal if you buy one of everything on my side of the table, but I haven’t decided yet. I would really like to get rid of those MBH t-shirts if I can, so keep your eyes peeled for some kind of deal involving those at the show.

New Genres, New Readers, New Technologies: The World of Comics To Come

Like the rest of publishing, the landscape of the comics medium is changing in dramatic and not so dramatic ways. Whether it’s the impact of Hollywood and new corporate structures at Marvel and DC; or self-published comics on the web, manga and a new generation of retailers, the medium has never seemed so strong; the variety of works so diverse nor the business and distribution possibilities so intriguing. This panel will highlight the state of the medium from the artful resilience of small press and indie comics publishing to the steady growth of graphic novels in the book industry and the proliferation of new genres and new readers for them.
