I’m working on getting enough money to print up Freewheel: Volume One so I’ve decided to hold a virtual fundraising campout! Check out the Freewheel: Volume One Fundraising Campout Page for details and to see how you can help, and what you’ll get in return! You can get all kinds of stuff based on your level of funding, from a simple signed copy of the book to YOUR FACE on a background character to the opportunity to name a character and much more!
All funders will receive email updates every two weeks!
All funders will be personally thanked in the book!
All funders will receive a personalized certificate by mail indicating their name and level of funding!

Hey, so the Freewheel: Volume One Fundraising Campout is going great so far! I just started it on Tuesday and already I’ve raised $98 to go towards the $2500 it will cost for me to print Freewheel: Volume One! So far the campout has a Can of Beanz, two Can Openers, and two sets of Matches! Who’s bringing the Firewood? It could be you!
Check out the Freewheel: Volume One Fundraising Campout page for details on the seven levels of funding options and what you can get as a funder of Freewheel: Volume One! Everybody gets something, and the more you give the more you get! Each and every funder will be thanked personally in the book, will receive a personalized certificate indicating their name and level of funding, and will receive email updates every two weeks!
Most funders also get a signed copy of the book before it becomes available to the public, and some even get cool stuff like a signed print, 9×12 pencil-and-ink commission, or even the opportunity to see their face on a background character in the very book they’re helping to fund! Check it out!
Jamie’s out on her own and it’s getting dark! I have a feeling she doesn’t totally know where she is. And where’s that voice coming from? Things begin to unfold on Thursday! Think of it as my Christmas Eve gift to you! Unless you don’t celebrate Christmas, in which case you can consider it my Regular Thursday gift to you!

I hope you all had a good holiday, mine was great! I spent the four days after Christmas rocking out in Asbury Park at the Bouncing Souls‘ annual Home for the Holidays shows! If you were not already aware, the Bouncing Souls are my favorite band and I am just a wee bit obsessed with them. I saw them 18 times in 2009, for example. I also drew a comic about them, and that comic is now distributed by their label. They are pretty great. Here’s a video from one of the shows to give you a taste of the wonder. Also, I know you’re getting sick of me asking for money with this Freewheel: Volume One Fundraising Campout thing, but I will stop asking as soon as I have enough to pay for the printing! I promise. Cross my heart. So if you haven’t yet chosen a funding level, now would be a great time! I have until the end of February to collect the money to pay for the first printing of Freewheel: Volume One and as I type this we’re at $656 out of the necessary $2500! That means we have $1844 to go! I think we can make it happen! You and me, kid! We’re goin’ places!
